The Virtual Pipeline solution of Bright Renewables is the lifesaver for biomethane
This is how our Virtual Pipeline technology works:
1. Producing profitable renewable
natural gas/biomethane
Producing renewable natural gas, or biomethane, is very profitable and can even be done at production sites where no pipeline or grid infrastructure is available. Bright’s virtual pipeline technology is an ideal solution for these production sites.
2. Waste & residual flows are valuable resources for
energy production
Waste streams and residual flows like manure are valuable for the production of renewable energy. Producing energy from these organic residual flows starts with feeding the feedstock into a biogas plant. The biogas plant anaerobic digests the feedstock and produces biogas. The next step is needed to produce biomethane.
3. Biogas upgrading with Bright Renewables
The produced biogas does not yet have the desired methane content. Therefore, the produced biogas flows to the PurePac biogas upgrading system. The PurePac upgrades the biogas, using membrane technology, to biomethane with natural gas quality.
4. Virtual pipeline to the rescue
Using Bright’s virtual pipeline, biomethane production can be done even at locations where no gas grid infrastructure is in place (off-grid). The solution: the biomethane is compressed to compressed natural gas and transferred into a tank and transported by road to a remote facility with a gas grid entry point. The renewable gas can be used for cooking, heating or as CNG transport fuel.
