Bright Biomethane constructed a PurePac Arctic Medium in Lohja near Helsinki. The biogas upgrading system upgrades biogas to biomethane. The biogas is produced from various waste residues.
This system produces 506 Nm³/hr of biomethane from 780 Nm³/hr biogas. The produced biomethane is directly injected into the gasgrid and supplies Finnish households with biomethane, used for cooking and heating. Alternatively, the produced gas can also be used as CNG (vehicle fuel).
In addition to the production of biomethane, the system can also be extended with a Bright CO₂-liquefaction system to recover and liquefy the CO₂ to produce another valuable end-product: food-grade CO₂.
