Bright Biomethane constructed a biogas upgrading system in the USA. The system facilitates production of biomethane from biogas, which is produced from various waste residues.

The system is able to expand production of biomethane by adding additional upgrading membrane modules. The system produces 122 scfm (200 Nm³/hr) biomethane from 200 scfm (324 Nm³/hr) biogas.

The produced biomethane is partly injected into the national grid, the major part is transported trough a virtual pipeline. This virtual pipeline technology allows to compress and transport gas in a mobile unit to a gas injection point (CNG/LNG fueling station), when there is no gas grid injection point available at the production location, and to deliver it at the right pressure.

In addition to the production of biomethane, the system can also be extended with a Bright CO₂-liquefaction system to recover and liquefy the CO₂.
