Dompierre-sur-Yon, France
Bright Biomethane has realised a biogas upgrading system on a farm in Dompierre-sur-Yon in the west of France. The system facilitates production of biomethane from biogas, which is produced from various waste residues.
Besides the biogas upgrading system, Bright also installed a biogas boiler and heat pump to heat the digester. This system produces 130 Nm³/hr of biomethane from 230 Nm³/hr biogas.
The produced biomethane is directly injected into the gas grid and supplies French households with biomethane, used for cooking and heating. The produced gas the can also be used as CNG (vehicle fuel). In addition to the production of biomethane, the system can also be extended with a Bright CO2-liquefaction system to recover and liquefy the CO2.
